PRIVACY POLICY

Confidentiality

Editors, authors, and reviewers are required to maintain the confidentiality of the entire editorial and peer-review process. JBPT follows a double-blind review system, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Reviewers must not discuss the manuscript with others unless authorized by the Editor. Authors are also expected to avoid publicizing details of their manuscript until it is formally published.

Pre-Publicity

Authors should not discuss their work with media outlets or other journals prior to publication. If a manuscript under consideration is leaked to the press, JBPT reserves the right to investigate, and editors may assess the authors’ cooperation with journalists. The final decision on the manuscript rests with the editorial team, and violation of this policy may result in rejection, regardless of media coverage. Media statements should not bias peer review.

Presentations and Online Material

Manuscripts may be presented at scientific meetings, and abstracts may be included in conference proceedings. Submitted material may also be posted on websites, blogs, or wikis, provided that the website name and URL are disclosed in the cover letter during manuscript submission.

All policies aim to protect the integrity of the review and publication process.
