Research Specialties: Neuroscience, Neurobehavioral studies, Neurotoxicity, Autism, Drug mechanisms, In-Vivo Research, Human Anatomy & Cell Biology, Medical Education

Aims & Scope

Embryonic development is governed by intricate molecular networks highly vulnerable to environmental xenobiotics, industrial agents, and drug exposures. This special issue aims to consolidate a premium selection of peer-reviewed articles revealing cutting-edge discoveries regarding cellular defense protocols, aberrant pathways, and protective therapies fighting developmental defects.

We explicitly encourage research groups, pharmacologists, and cellular biologists to submit Original Research Articles, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analysis, Narrative Reviews, Scientific Communications and Other charting innovative paths across biochemical and therapeutic frameworks.

Key Subject Focus Areas Include:

  • Molecular cascades regulating developmental toxicities and teratogenicity pathways.
  • Oxidative stress, cellular cytotoxicity profiling, reactive oxygen species (ROS), and protective pathways.
  • Therapeutic evaluations of antioxidants, phytochemical complexes, and targeted molecular protectors.
  • In vitro embryonic cellular modeling, organoid arrays, and organ-system structural variations.
  • Biomarkers identifying developmental, neurodevelopmental, or metabolic disease programming mechanisms.

Submission & Publication Timeline

* All Submissions will undergo scope and quality check as per focus areas. Prompt manuscript submissions allow for initial screenings based decisions within 7-10 days and will be subjected to 4-8 weeks double blind external peer-review period. Final decisions will be made by Editor-in-Chief. Please visit journal website for manuscript processing details.

Call for Papers Opens: September 01, 2026
Submission Closing Date: November 01, 2026
Official Online Date: January 10, 2027

Submission Guidelines & Formatting

Manuscripts should correspond directly to the standard structural rules outlined in the JBPT Author Guidelines portal. Authors must upload fully blinded papers accompanied by Manuscript MS Word file/s, data file/s (where applicable) and a completely filled Submission document. Manuscripts prepared exactly as per Journal guidelines and Template format, will undergo priority assessments based processings.

All papers must represent original, un-published scientific material not actively sitting under consideration by parallel indexing networks. Experimental protocols relating to human cohorts or laboratory animal systems must feature active registration numbers assigned by a verified institutional Ethics Review Board.

Author Privileges & Indexing Standards

  • 100% APC Waiver: Completely sponsored via the MSAR Institute setup. Document processing, technical styling, layouts, and copyediting operations generate zero cost parameters for contributors.
  • Metadata Preservation: Articles are issued immediate Crossref Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) and undergo permanent preservation within the PKP Preservation Network (LOCKSS/CLOCKSS protocols) with KEEPERS Registry and Internet Archive.
  • Rigorous Peer Oversight (DOAJ Compliant): Submissions undergo independent, external double-blind peer review managed entirely outside of the Guest Editor’s direct institution to guarantee pure impartiality under Editor-in-chief responsibility.
  • Endogeny (DOAJ Compliant): Papers submitted to a special issue by the guest editor(s) will be handled under an independent review process and make up no more than 20% of the issue's total.
